Because Phat’s the New Slim, Here Come the Phatty Clones

Ever since Apple released their G3 “Phatty” iPod Nanos, we were wondering when Chinese copycats would release a version for the underprivileged. The wait is no more, because the new Phatty Clones are here! To be honest, and even if it’s only on the outside, this time the clones actually look quite good.
Shenzhen’s YJL announces U2-C, a MP3 player equipped with a 1.8 inch color TFT screen that also does video, voice recording and FM radio. Press the buttons hard enough and it will also display eBooks (READ: .txt files), pictures and allow you to modify the screen brightness.
No worries on availability, it’s only a matter of time before Chinese eBay sellers will stock 1GB versions of this player and sell them as 8GB. Happy bidding!

You scumbags, you stole our story, watermarked an already watermarked picture from alibaba and cost us a link from engadget. I want you to know this will not go unrewarded.

Sorry for whatever I’ve done wrong. Please don’t kill me now. But hey, who are you? I’m not really following.
By the sound of it, you are very upset. Take it easy and try to get well.
Also, it sounds like you write articles for the sole purpose of getting links from Engadget. I hope that’s not the case, because if it was, it would be one ugly website.
Hey deep shit, you know you found it on our site, just own up. The link is not the point. One of my writers spent three hours a day for two weeks looking for the first clone of the new iPod Nano that goes on sale. You took a pic from our post, watermarked it and called it your own. It’s about ethics, pal.
I’m tired of being nice. I now recall visiting your site before, but that’s when Sarge was running it. Looks like it’s going downhill without him. This piece of news was received by me via IM.
Stop being a crybaby, because seriously, you’re making a clown out of yourself. Because right now, my impression of you is some kid with acne problems being bullied in school and taking out the anger online.
Didn’t mean to call you a deep shit and a scumbag, I apologize. It’s the teen in me. I’m sure you’re a sweet person with a lot of good things going on in your life. It’s true, it’s possible you might have found this little gem on your own. I was out of line making judgments on your character.
I admit, I sent the same news to Engadget and was hoping to get lots of traffic on my site. You are a much better person than I am, a tech news blogger whose only goal is to spread the word about the newest gadgets. I am a materialistic moron and you are a shining example of self-sacrifice. Wish you luck and forget all the dumb insult I threw your way.
Thanks. I sense some sarcasm, but if you really meant it, you’ve laid great foundations for future friendly co-operation.
All the best.
Make yourself heard!
