Finally, Apple’s flagship announcement has a date and it’s September 12! Rumor has it that the Steve Jobs Theater is the place, at the new Apple campus.
We are expecting facial recognition, OLED display, no physical home button and AR-capabilities among other things from Apple’s new flagship.

The new phone is expected to be announced along with the Apple Watch 3 and the HomePod together with release dates for iOS11 and macOS High Sierra. The September 12 event will be serve as the inauguration for the Steve Jobs Theater according to a The Wall Street Journal report:
In the past two years it [Apple] has used San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, but people close to the company say it is aiming to use the 1,000-seat Steve Jobs Theater on its new headquarters campus. That headquarters, however, isn’t yet finished, and its construction timetable could affect the timing or location of the event, those people said.
If Apple actually manages in time remains to be seen as the auditorium’s construction is finalizing in the coming days.
Though the upcoming Apple Watch 3 models won’t be featuring any new design our sources says it might be the first watch to not need an iPhone. Also, a new Apple TV is expected to be announced. It is widely rumored to have 4K and HDR support.
Every September for the past 5 years have seen the announcement of an iPhone. Since there are typically 10 days from announcement to the new iPhone being launched, expect the new phones to be available on Friday, September 22. iPhone 8 pre-orders would most likely start on Friday, September 15 at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time (3:00 a.m. Eastern Time).
